Victorian Council of Churches

The Uniting Church Synod of Victoria and Tasmania is connected with many other denominations through the Victorian Council of Churches.

The VCC Emergencies Ministry began in 1977 and has grown to over 1,500 volunteers trained to respond to disasters in Victoria.

World Day of Prayer

Check out the World Day of Prayer Australia site for information on local partnerships held each year. The World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement led by Christian women who welcome you to join in prayer and action for peace and justice. It is run under the motto “Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action,” and is celebrated annually in over 170 countries on the first Friday in March. The movement aims to bring together people of various races, cultures and traditions in a yearly common Day of Prayer, as well as in closer fellowship, understanding and action throughout the year
